Okay, since I actually did a lot in September, it's time for the return of the fandom newsletter!

I didn't really enjoy the process, since I tend to write and sentence and then tweak it, which was awkward with the method. But it was interesting to try and I really like how the fic turned out.

What happens in this chapter: It's another Klaus chapter. In this one, he searches for Caroline after she disappeared due to events in the previous chapter. The story has firmly entered act two with this one and shit is going to get even more real in the next chapter, which I hopefully will right soon, though I need to give the Mistress some attention first.
Favourite line: It was a look he had only seen once before, when he helped her escape from Alaric – a look that said that in this moment, he was saviour, not monster.
This moment was one of the first things I came up with when writing the chapter. I'm actually not 100% happy with the line but I do like the moment.
I also, shockingly, started posting a new WIP. This is another one I've been working on for more than a year, so it is actually almost completely written. I decided to start posting it because it would be nice to finish with it before Dragon Age Inquisition is released, plus I really like it. Unfortunately, it hasn't yet been as well received as I hoped but maybe extra chapters will bring in some more fans for it because I really like it.

Then there is the first chapter which sets the scene of Varric and Isabela in Tantervale, after separating from Hawke post DA2. And then he meets a certain awesome dwarven hero ... of Ferelden.
Favourite line: “In a volatile world such as this, the only stable things are whores and drunks.”
She leaned forward, her breasts put on display in a way that was impossible to miss, not that he ever really tried. “There's one more thing,” she told him, her voice low.
“And what's that?”
She smiled slowly. “Wanton violence.”
“Ah yes,” he said, nodding, “we can't forget that.”
I love this exchange. Actually, most of Isabela and Varric's exchanges are pretty awesome.

Still a bit bwah at how high Confessions of the Firstborn remains. I should really get to work on the revised version again, since I do still love the fic but it's pretty godawful at moments!
