Imriel's surgery went smoothly. He's got a lovely stapled-up incision on his stomach and thus such henceforth be known as Frankendog. At least until they come out. He's definitely quite subdued tonight, and more than a little clingy (even by his standards!). But mostly annoyed that I'm not letting him eat and drink as much as he would like (stomach surgery and all).

This is one of his favourite positions, silly thing.
Also, hurrah for having the vet be a family friend, the whole thing was done for just over $600 which is just amazing.
I'll be working from home tomorrow to keep an eye on him. I bought a no bite collar thing that is basically a plastic tube that immobilizes his neck. He doesn't like it, of course, but let knocking things over than a cone of shame and he certainly can't be trusted not to lick and possibly pull out the staples on his own.
