Okay, so...due to technical difficulties, I am unable to use my computer at the present time.

Basically the new video card and the computer monitor seem to be in some sort of conflict. Which is lame. And means my computer is essentially useless at this point in time because if you can't see anything...it's a bit hard to do anything.

I'm hoping that maybe Sam's LCD monitor will work with it and I might be able to fix things and get my monitor to be usable again. Because I don't want to buy a new monitor T___T

What happened to cause the monitor to crap out?

I might be able to walk you through fixing it... there's no reason an older monitor and new video card shouldn't work together.

The only thing that changed is the new video card being installed. I got home and the monitor, despite being very connected, would not work. I tried restarting a few times but still nothing. Sometimes it would register it being connected for a second, but most of the time it sits there with it's light flashing as if the computer was off/hibernating/etc...

Walkthrough would be useful, if I can get a monitor attached that does work I'll try to find you online.

THAT actually sounds more like a bad video card... or one that's not seated properly.

The video card works, I know it was installed and everything was running just fine back at Future Shop.

Weird... what kinda monitor is it? What's the graphics settings setup for on the desktop? Does it work during bootup and then stop working once windows boots?

I have no clue.

Well, the monitor is PC CRT. The number is G something I think (could tell you more if I was at home right now but I'm not).

No idea what the graphics setting is and the monitor doesn't show a thing at any time.
