xxxHolic and NANA report
Since I have been killing time while WoW installs itself REALLY SLOWLY (and tries to tell me that I don't meet the system requirements, even though my computer tells me that I do...very strange) I watched ep 3 of xxxHolic and ep 11 of NANA.

This episode of xxxHolic confirmed the feeling I'd already had that this was not going to be a keeper anime. I really didn't like this ep very much at all really. The animation continued to be rather bad (oh, the proportions ;_;) and I found that the story just didn't entirely make sense...how the hell Are Doumeki and Himawari suddenly involved with Yuuko? Especially Doumeki. To continue with him, I really find him SO BORING. So far, he has about as much personality as anime!Tooya...which is pretty sad. I also really don't like the effect he has on Watanuki, who is really beginning to irritate me. While he definitely is cute around Himawari and spazzy around Yuuko, which I do enjoy, this overthetop dislike/hatred/whatever for Doumeki is just...too much.
So yeah, eps 1-3 have now been deleted. I will keep following the anime, but no burning for it (I'll invest in the manga instead, which I've heard is better).
I did however really get a kick out of the Chobits reference XD!
NANA
I've really been enjoying this series for the most part, it's a really good adaptation. It really makes me sad to think that eventually it won't be though, if it catches up to the manga and has to make things up ;_; But for now, enjoy it.
So we're in the middle of the Sachiko arc. I really like how this has been played out in the anime, much more than the live-action which had all the focus on Nana Osaki, rather than Hachi. With more time being given to show Shouji's character and the situation with him and Nana, it's impossible to completely hate him. He has had to put up with a lot from Hachi. Of course, he did know what he was getting himself into when he pursued her in the first place, but the relationship was in trouble before Sachiko arrived. As for Sachiko herself...she's just SO adorable. Even if she is the "other woman," I find her just too cute. I think I feel the worst for her out of any of the love triangle characters.
NANA is so much love. It's so fun to watch it again. I should read more of the manga, though I do eventually intend to get the other collected volumes and thus be able to read them (I have vol 1 right now, since we didn't get the second issue of Shoujo Beat and thus hadn't seen Nana Osaki's introduction/backstory).
Anyway, WoW is up and running, but I want to defrag the computer first since I've been getting/deleting so many files.
