The Hatshepsut special on Discovery was awesome. I am so glad that I was looking at the TV guide because I completely forgot about it. Luckily I didn't miss anything.

I also do think it's cool that the tomb with the Hatshepsut mummy in it was originally discovered by Howard Carter, which means he has at least two big name Pharaoh discoveries to his name, though Hatshepsut WAY outweighs good old Tut in the importance category.

I want to get Pauline Gedge's book about Hatshepsut, which I've wanted to read for awhile. I'll look for it when I go to pick up Harry Potter on Saturday (on that note, since there is some other shopping I want to get done, I've decided that I won't be at the midnight release for the book. Also I will be boycotting the Internet until I am done reading it).

That was tonight? Damn, I totally missed it! ;___;

Oh hell yes. Hatshepsut was at least ten times more awesome than Tut anyway.

.....and wait... you actually know that book? I own it. It's really good. XD

Yeah, it was, but I'm sure they'll be re-running it before too long.

I like Tut, but the only reason he's so big is because of curses (which is cool) and treasure (which is shiny!). Hatshepsut however actually established a reputation before she died!

I've read a few of her books, though not that one in particular. But I've definitely almost bought it on occasion.
