Ok, the last few days have been very full of fan fiction, as I'm sure you have noticed.
Anyway, this has led to me being rather annoyed with one thing: people who write fan fiction about fandoms they do not fully know. I am SO sick of seeing summaries that clearly show someone hasn't seen the last episodes of Wolf's Rain, or has only read a few volumes of Mars. Granted you get ideas while watching a series...but still, you shouldn't write anything until you know what you are writing about.
The only possibly exception would be a what-if AU, where you are changing something that happened. In that case, you don't necessarily need to know Canon after that point in time...though it's probably better if you do.
I really don't understand why people would right about something they don't fully know though. Especially things like most anime series and manga, because it's not a continually on-going thing. It just boggles my mind, and irrates me to NO END! >.<
The fact that the Mars and Wolf's Rain fandoms are not that incredible to begin with doesn't help matters.
