So, saw the baby, she is very cute. 8 pounds, 6 ounces I believe, born at 6:18 AM, once again if memory serves me. Apparently Shannon hasn't really had the energy to call anyone, so I shouldn't feel insulted...hopefully she would have phoned me eventually, if I hadn't found out first. It definitely is a unique way to find out that one of your best friends has had a baby, over another friend's blog =P
The baby does not have a name yet, the two options left are Samantha and Jessica. VERY MUCH hoping against Jessica, since the world really has enough of them =P I wish Evelyn was still in the running, but Shannon decided she doesn't look like an Evelyn. Shame. It's a nice name, though I could never use it myself, since it's my grandma's name (unless I was naming the child after my grandma, of course, though I don't really see myself doing that).
Anyway, spent a nice two hours talking and holding the baby and seeing her have her first hiccups (so adorable!). Good times. Now I have a nice last memory of the Queensway Carleton Hospital, replacing the last one which was of my grandpa dying there (and my dad had his surgery there last year, but I wasn't around so I don't really have a memory of that connected to the hospital).
