Sep. 4th, 2007 09:23 amI just had a rather uneventful/unproductive trip into Kanata. I was hoping to find a replacement piece for my file cabinet, but alas, no such luck. I do however have a lead, because a guy at Home Depot suggested that if I can figure out what company made the thing, I can get a replacement for free from them. Now I just need to track that down. I'm sure we bought the thing at either Wal-Mart or Staples, so there's a starting point. I just hope they still sell it.
I was also very good and didn't buy any games at Wal-Mart or books at Chapters...however the second doesn't count as much because they weren't open yet :]
We had a bit of an adventure yesterday with family dinner. There was a motorcycle accident right where the road that my road is off of comes out to the main road (yes, I know it's hard to follow). This led to a section of the road being closed, including both roads that you can take to get to the road my parents live on. This made things a bit tricky for getting family out here (my dad and I had to go and rescue Grandma because she wasn't going to try the detour by herself) but eventually everyone made it who was supposed to make it. Fun times.
The best part however is that to get back here, you had to cross a police barrier. They were asking for ID to prove that you lived in the area.
Sadly, when asked I didn't have my driver's license and almost got a nice fine because of it! Brilliant!
Two hours until my dentist appointment, which should take an hour, and then in another two hours I'll be on the bus going home. It will be really weird being there without Elphie.
It will also be weird watching tennis alone, but I must do that because I am all into this whole US Open thing.
