(no subject)

Back from a pretty awesome shift, I love working with Jewels, she is so much geeky fun!

I'm having lunch with Bruce today, which should be fun. It also will get me out of the house and make me do the chores I have today, mainly going to the bank to get my new credit card and going to Wal-mart for costuming supplies (and maybe Apollo Justice...we'll see if I can resist).

Still very cold outside. But I'll survive. I have tough Canadian blood in my veins ^_~

This afternoon almost really sucked. I ended up falling asleep in the morning and woke up 15 minutes after I was supposed to have met Bruce. Luckily he ended up being able to stick around until I made it out there, so we still had lunch, yay! I also got some Swiffer WetJet (which I keep calling WestJet XD) supplies, which I wanted.

Then off to Wal-Mart. They didn't have any leather-like material, so for the sake of budget and time I bought something else. I can always make another bodice later if I want to and it should still look cool. I got almost all of the supplies I need for the costume (even potentially a charm for the necklace, though I was going off memory so I'm not sure how similar it is to the one from the movie) except for the spray paint. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that.

I've also realized I have less time to work on the costume at Kate's than I had thought, because the first full day I'm there is Thursday and that's the day of the meeting. So I'll have to try and get more done before I go, but I think it will be alright. I think I have Tuesday night off next week, which means I can spend Wednesday packing and getting things ready.

Also at Wal-Mart I finally picked up something I've been eyeing for the last couple of years: Roswell season 1 on DVD. Because it was $20. Which is SWEET (they also had seasons 2 & 3 for that price, but I couldn't justify that...Firefly was that price too, which is annoying but not too much less than what I paid for it so whatever). I am so happy about this purchase. Now I can relive the first character named Isabel that I saw Katherine Heigl play (and Roswell Izzy is awesome).

Finally...what shall come to no shock to anyone, I bought Apollo Justice. I almost talked myself out of it, but then I talked myself back into it. Because I will even dip into the Wii fund for this game because I want it more than a Wii.

Now time to enjoy the new shinies!
