Jul. 25th, 2014 11:38 pmI've found a new show to love this summer, MTV's Finding Carter, about a 16 year old girl who finds out that her "mother" actually kidnapped her when she was 3.
I grew up reading the Janie Johnson books, so the premise attracted my attention right away. And the show kept it with some really fascinating characters and great acting. Particular mention goes to the brother, who is all sorts of cool.
Four episodes have aired now and MTV streams them, if anyone is interested in catching up. Also, it has a snazzy opening with some simple by effective imagery, which particularly thrills me in this current age of just having a single titlecard (thanks for that legacy, Lost ... though to be fair, I really liked it when you did it). I absolutely love the song used too, Vagabond by Misterwives - I need to hear some of their other stuff and decide if I want to buy a whole CD or not.
