Episode #2's

So, just watched all the episode twos. First up was xxxHolic. Now, I've been following this site, Memento, which I found looking for NANA lyrics, and which is following NANA, Host Club, and xxxHolic. The reviewer didn't think much of the second xxxHolic episode. I however thought it was decent, though I'm not certain how exactly I feel about the change made in the ending, since in the manga the lying woman died. I do somewhat like the effect her living had in the anime, but at the same time it's lightening the mood of the series, something which could be bad if they continue it. But overall I liked this episode more than the first. I also hadn't realized before that Watanuki was only in high school...somehow I thought he was in his 20's. Weird.

Anyway, Princess Princess...this episode was decent enough, but I'm feeling a bit like I want the show to have more depth to it. There's been stuff hinted at, especially with Kuono (is that his name?), but it's not quite enough to really grab my interest, at least not yet. But it's amusing enough to entertain and so I'll keep with it a bit longer.

I really liked how the Host Club episode turned out, with the young woman and her fiance. And the first kiss. It was a really enjoyable episode and this show continues to be well-received, despite initial skepticism.

But my favourite of the shows so far would be Blood+, because it clearly has a point and that's good. Very mysterious, very evil as far as cliffhangers go. I am wondering how connected it is to Blood: The Last Vampire, since I know there is a connection. It looks like it's a sequel? I think I've seen Blood in anime club once, but I don't know if I really paid much attention to it XD Perhaps I should see it again.


So, I have all ep 3s downloaded and am working on ep 4...four is going to be the point where decisions are made, since that's as much as you can fit on a CD and if a series hasn't grabbed enough interest by then, I think it's pretty much lost it's chance (this is most applicable for Princess Princess at the moment).
