i_paint_the_skyBack home on time AND I got to be fed too. Hurrah, life is good.
Except for the fact that I do work tonight. I was sort of hoping that maybe I wouldn't have to, but oh well...c'est la vie. At least Sunday night is usually pretty dead.
Also, I finished Apollo Justice, yay! Overall, it was fun. I definitely enjoyed it quite a bit...but I haven't quite gotten emotionally attached to the characters yet, beyond those who are from the PW games. Maybe the next one though.
Oh, and I think Phoenix should be in the next Smash Brothers because that would be awesome
Wow, that case was UBER intense. Possible the most so of all the cases in all the games. I really liked it though, going back to the past was fun. And for the most part, the logic made sense. I was paying more attention to that, because I remember Kate's review of T&T highlighted some parts that didn't quite work. The only thing I caught here that was not so great was how you used the photograph of Trucy's mother to identify her bracelets to Zak. That doesn't quite work, since chronologically the conversation with crazy reporter guy (I love how I don't remember their names anymore @_@!) happens quite a bit after Zak is dead. I think it would have worked better for Zak to produce the picture, since he did take it. But hey...I wasn't around when they made the game to tell them that.
As for that whole revelation about Apollo being whathernames son...I actually like that, if only because it should (mostly) prevent the Apollo/Trudy pairing, which as far as I see it is Phoenix/Maya ver 2.0, which is about the last thing I want since I would happily throw Maya under a bus. But I like the idea of the sidekick being a sibling. It makes me want to throw Trudy under a bus less (she does get on my nerves, though not as much as Maya).
Oh, and I have to say that I am SO happy that Trudy isn't actually Apollo's daughter. That would have been just...blah. Their relationship is actually sort of neat and another reason why I like Trudy a bit, though I really didn't start liking her until the last case.
I'm not 100% sure I like Lamioire (sp?) being the mother. Part of me is happy, because I did like her quite a bit, but part of me feels that it just is a little too neat and tidy. But I have liked it when the cases tie together like that (which is why T&T is my favourite of the series so far) so that was nice.
Oh, and I loved the messed up Gavin brothers relationship. Favourite part of the game and I think it has made Klavier my favourite character of this game...though he has stiff competition from Ema, who was just so awesome. I also sort of think the Klavier/Ema ship would be cool.
But my favourite part of the game was getting to play Phoenix again. It was just...so comfortable and nostalgic. Though also really upsetting since you had to walk right into the trap. SO glad with how they handled the forgery stuff too. Especially because we get an evil defence attorney, instead of just evil prosecutors. I do however hope they lay off the "one of the lawyers" did it thing though, because it's a bit overdone now with von Karma senior, Godot, and now Kristoph Gavin.
Um...I think that is basically it. Except to say I did love the little references to the other games and hope that they keep it up, without bringing everyone back because that would be a bit lame. Though I agree with Kate, I totally want to see Pearl just to know what she looks like.
Oh, and I hope they bring psyche-locks back more. The perceive thing is neat, but I miss the psycho locks.
And I like Vera quite a bit too and not just because she is pretty but mostly because of that.
