*drumroll*
Imriel de la Courcel, from Kushiel's Legacy (starting with the name since the only image I have is from a foreign edition of one of the books).

So, my name choice for the puppy MAY have spoiled this one a bit but I really just adore Imriel. He's so fascinating and damaged but still has such a good heart. And the poor guy just can't get a break.
Imriel is one of those characters who would be interesting even if he was sitting by himself in a dark corner, just musing about life. Thankfully, he's in a series where there is lots and lots to do.
There's just so much to love about him. Dealing with the legacy of being the child of the two most notorious traitor's in Terre D'Ange, particularly dealing with being the child of the series greatest villain who was raised by its greatest hero. And then you add the scars of Darsanga which I think all readers share to an extent. Add a forbidden romance into this mix and really, there's not much more I could ask for.
Usually it is hard to rank things you love but I knew from the beginning and Imriel was going to have the top spot. I just love him that much, which is why one of the reasons I decided to choose the male puppy in the litter was to finally have the Great Dane named Imriel that I had been dreaming about for years.
I've been working on a stats page that I'll probably put up later today, to see what trends there are in my favourites and if it says anything other than the fact that my tastes are eclectic =P.
