Birthdays ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok...total departure from last update's mood! I'm NINETEEN!!!!!!! Yayness. This is very exciting. And not just because I can legally drink ANYWHERE in Canada now...though that does help.

Anyway, celebrations actually started last night, when me and Sarah (my roommate who has the same birthday as I do!) went out with our friend Ryan. We went first to Striker's, the bar here in Sackville where they don't even ID people. It was about 10 o'clock I think, but we had our birthday shots. I think it is rather amusing that to get this, we had to show the bartender ID that proved we were technically underage! The shots were a mix of Creme de Menthe (which I adore) and some chocolate liquor...Sarah ordered them, and I believe they are called polars. There were SO good. Ryan also bought us a pitcher of rye and ginger. Good times at Strikers.

Then we moved to Ducky's, where we played this spot the differnce game, which was SO funny, because the two pictures shown were of naked women (since Ryan was paying, we let him pick chicks rather than dudes). It was great. Sadly we didn't get a top score, but it was still fun.

Then we decided to go to Dooly's...but when we got there at 11:30 they wouldn't serve us. It was rather annoying. So we went back to Ducky's, and tried to get some more birthday shots. But they don't have birthday shots there, so Ryan payed for some more stuff. Ryan is the coolest!

Finally, after stopping by Trueman so Sarah could drop off her jacket, we headed out to...THE PUB. It was pretty nice, we got some more birthday drinks, and got to drink and dance, but neither of us were really impressed by it. I think I would only go back if I was going with a large group of people...otherwise the other bars, which don't have a cover charge, would do just fine.

Well, I finally left there and came home around 2 AM. And then talked to Katie. Which is always fun. And I was surprised how well I was able to type, despite being the drunkest I have EVER been. But I was making more sense than her a LOT of the time.

Then I slept. And slept. And slept. Until my parents called at 10 to wish my happy birthday. Then I slept some more. And finally I woke up, and went to brunch. Then I went to the Anthro symposium, and was annoyed to find out that the seminar I had planned to go to had been moved back half an hour, so I had to go to something else. Luckily what was supposed to be a half hour talk turned into a full hour talk, and I got my required attendence. And then on to Sackvilloma practice.

Oh...practice was fun. First of all, we had no room, because the building we usually use was where the symposium was being held. So we wandered campus for awhile, and eventually ended up in the Conservatory. Thus what was going to be an acting rehearsal became a singing rehearsal. We worked on making the "Let's Here it for the Boy" parody more pop-ish. Including the brilliantness of making the "oh, oh, oh, oh" sound, to quote Mark, "ORGASMIC". He actually said it. Without smiling. We had lots of fun with that.

Then 5 of us from Sackvilloma headed out for dinner. It was great. I got REAL FOOD!!! Woohoo!!! Deep-fried clams! And it was so fun hanging out with them. I love musical people...they are the best people in the world!!!!!

Then we had more practice, and this time the guy playing the mayor actually showed up! We've been having problems with getting a full cast, but now it looks like we have it. Which is good, since we perform in a week.

I also got birthday cake that my parents bought from Sodexho. They are actually capable of making good cakes. So for the last hour I've been giving out cake. Still have about half of it though...I'm hoping the anime club will eat some for me, since we still have Sarah's cake from last night.

Well, that's about all that happened today. I know it doesn't sound half as exciting written down, but trust me, I had a great day.
