ANIMARITIME 2005
Nov. 6th, 2004 11:33 amOk, well as you may have noticed, I have an icon that is promoting Animaritime 2005. So what exactly is it?
Well, my anime club at Mount Allison formed last year (well, re-formed kinda, because there had been a club, but we don't know what happened to it). And our ambitious leaders decided that we should hold a convention. And we did, in March of 2004. We had about 50 people there (I think the exact number was 58) and it was a great success.
And so this year we are having it again, only moved to February to co-incide with our Reading Week, so members aren't juggling school and the convention so much.
Anyway, I'm not sure if any of my FL is really able to go who isn't already planning on it, but just in case I thought I'd pimp it out, especailly since pre-registration ends in 10 days (if you pre-reg, you get a free Animaritime 2005 t-shirt).

Animaritime 2005 is an anime and gaming convention in its second year, after the success of Animaritime 2004, and held by the "[Insert Catchy Name Here]" Anime Club at Mount Allison University, in Sackville, NB, Canada. Animaritime 2005 will be going on from February 25th through the 27th, holding events such as theater style anime showings, panels and workshops, cosplay contest, an artist's alley, vendor room, card and board games, RPG's, console games, and much more. With something for everyone, we hope to see you there!
Also, I am in charge of the AMV Contest and the Artist's Alley, in case any of you people are interested (you do not need to attend the convention in order to participate in either). I'll probably be posting more about that in the future.
