Nov. 30th, 2004 08:06 pmSo, I've been a bit accident prone as of late. It's been a bit annoying. I have a cut on the tip of my right pinky that I got from the plastic covering for my BANK BOOK -_- Then today I tried to break the same finger by bashing it into the wall right where there was an outcropping (hard to describe) so it got hit in to a CORNER while I kept walking.
I also broke my first dish at meal hall. I had one of the cups and was going to put chocolate milk in it. I accidently hit it against the handle you lift to make the milk come out and the thing SMASHED right in my hand. Wasn't cut or anything, though I did have to through out my food which was annoying, but there could have been glass shards in it.
The worst breakage happened two nights ago. First, I almost killed my computer by dropping the kettle on it. Luckily it only hit the keyboard then the floor at I don't think anything was hit. Then when I was reaching to put my knife away on this table I have set up in my room, I hit the mug that my roommate gave me for Christmas last year, knocking it off the table and smashing it. That really sucked. I liked that mug. I'm going to have to go and buy myself another one, because it was really nice...plus then Sarah will never know what happened to the first one, not that I really see much of her. All the second years seem to spend a lot of time stuck in their rooms working this year. I hope that this is supposed to be the toughest year, not in level of work but in amount of time and effort you have to put into things.
It probably isn't.
Anyway, work is going nicely on my next two papers. I just sent the essay off to Tully, she's going to edit it for me and I'll go over it again tomorrow night then send it to my Mom. Hopefully I'll actually have it all put together that night (I wonder if Dr. Rogers will be accepting essays in class? Maybe I should bring mine just in case).
I got the first section of my term paper written last night. I hope to finish the rough copy of it tonight. Just taking one of my breaks right now. Yay for sanity breaks. Then I get to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and notes on the phonological features of Old English. Exciting stuff (seriously, it is...well, maybe not so much the phonological part, but the rest is good).
