Yay! Money!

Well, I got a birthday check from my paternal grandparents today, which is nice. I think this is the latest I've ever gotten stuff from them, because my grandma usually has stuff in the mail to arrive at least a month in advance =P She doesn't trust the postal service.

So with this, I can say that I've have actually had in my possession all the birthday money spent on the con. And I still have stuff from my maternal grandma set to arrive (I wonder if Mom is bringing it with her...that would be annoying, since the Moncton trip is the day before my birthday).

Tis the weekend again, at least for me. I am going to go into Hobbyton later today, because Cherie conscripted a bunch of us to go with her...and to bring bags, since apparently the shop needs more. Oh well, excuses to visit Moogie, the very adorable Hobbyton puppy.

I also can get some cash...I was going to use it to buy a ticket to the Vagina Monologues tonight, but they are sold out so I will sit in my room while Margaret, who bought her ticket yesterday, goes and has fun. Oh well, I can play Fire Emblem, so all is not lost.

I'm going to try and get some job applying stuff done today, since deadlines are approaching. I'm not sure if I mentioned it here, but I didn't get the Pub job...but I do get free drink tickets, so yay! And my resume was passed on to the campus police, so perhaps something will come out of that.

And gah, I have no patience with icon contests lately, I hate waiting a week to see the competition and then even longer to find out the results. Hopefully I'll get some new themes today though, so I can make icons in between job stuff.

Oh and Chris...do you know anything more about your vacationing plans, since it is now March and all...
