So, I decided to count how many pages of research notes I have for my Marie Antoinette paper today, after I colour coded them up (I highlight all the information in a colour for each section of the paper, so when I go through typing it up I can easily find what I need).
18. I have EIGHTEEN pages of notes.
That is somewhere around 6000 words I think...could be a bit less, since I don't always use the entire line, but usually when I write something by hand double-spaced there is 100 words on each side of paper and this doesn't have double-spacing and most of the sheets are double-sided.
So yeah, I have twice as many words in my notes as I will have in the final paper. INSANITY @_@
I'll probably be pruning the history section down a fair amount, because a fair amount of it is more general stuff that really doesn't strictly need to be there, if I assume the reader has some basic knowledge of the French Revolution already.
Karate and Writer's tonight...fun...I really hope I do actually get something done for the paper though, I may only stay till 9 at Writers to make sure of that.
