Mar. 16th, 2007 12:23 amThe grad banquet was pretty fun, though it was annoying that it started late and then went for longer than I had expected, which ended up with Margaret and I only catching the last five minutes of Grey's (though it was a pretty WTFOMGBBQ! 5 minutes). We ended up sitting near some guys I new from Trueman and with a girl who we met in the line. I think her name was Shelly or that's what it sounded like. Anyway, she was really fun and I'm pretty sad that I'll probably never see her again, though we did discuss this fact as we ate.
The food was okay. Nothing spectacular but I didn't expect that, it is meal hall after all. The cheesecake was yummy.
The guest speaker was also actually fairly entertaining. Awards were good, except when Micah tried to be clever by presenting awards in unique fashions and we just wanted him to shut up. Oh, Lindsay, if you read this before finding out about it somewhere else, Bill won the Computer Science award!
Also, I have to say that we have the world's worst Alma Mater song. It's a pretty song...but it sounds like a funeral dirge. And unless the Weasley twins are singing it, a funeral dirge really doesn't make a good school song. We ditched right after it and then got to make fun (though the performance itself was quite lovely...not their fault the song is just bad).
My Humber thing is almost done. I emailed Dr Lapp since he wasn't in his office when I went there today, so we'll see if he has a moment to look over it. I'm hoping to have it and the detailed resume done by tomorrow because I really want to get this thing over with.
Probably time for sleep now. Maybe after some Phoenix Wright. Because I am still pissed off at Triti.
