Woohoo, Anime North today! I haven't been there for two years, I guess, so this is exciting. Also, today's weather should not be as hot so I'll be able to wear my Dark Phoenix costume as planned (if it was another high 20's-low 30's day, I was going to have to leave it behind so as to not die of dehydration).

I've finished my first go at the Himitsu quiz though I figure we're expected to be looking stuff up, given the two week timeline to complete it, and there are things I don't know/am unsure of but I know EXACTLY where to look for it. But that can wait till after con.

Anime North was AWESOME. So much fun.

The day started off with a lovely TWO HOUR WAIT in line to get in. Reason #1 to pre-reg @_@ I met a cool girl in line though so it wasn't so bad. Once I did get in, I went to the vendors room and met up with dragonminstrel and bakaelf, which was neat. Love meeting online people in RL! We hung out in shopping for awhile and I got some pretties. My plan going there had been to finish up a series and well...I did that, from a certain point of view XD I ended up being the gold edition of X Remix, so I started and finished the X-TV series in one fell swoop. Go me. I really am excited about this, I love that show so much. I was listening to music from it the other day and really wanted to watch it too. I also finally got a Haruka keychain to go with my Michiru one and I bought a NANA CD, both from my beloved Comic Book Shoppe. I also got the NANA wallscroll that I almost bought from the Comic Book Shoppe at Christmas but then someone else had gotten to it first.

Afterwards we went to a familiar sounding panel: Gender in Manga/Anime. It was okay, though I'll admit that I wasn't entirely paying attention, since I had pretties to look at. I went off on my own afterwards and went to two industry panels, both hosted by one of the founders of ADV, who was pretty cool. Then I went to a panel on running anime conventions which began the highlight.

At this panel, there were a lot of other people from different con staff and we just talked about stuff and it was really neat. Then I went to dinner with almost the entire staff of AC3(cubed), the convention in Ottawa, and a guy from a convention in Oshawa in July. Both of which I might now have to go to (I might get a free hotel from the Oshawa one, depending on how serious the guy was being). It was great to just hang out and chat and eat good food (especially good desert...gelato ice cream covered in chocolate with strawberries and chocolate sauce!) and I ended up staying there for an hour longer than intended. But eventually I had to head back, since I needed to bus home, and now here I am. I am so exhausted that I'll definitely be in bed shortly.

Tomorrow my plan is do some school stuff and then search for the nearest theatre at which I can go see Pirates ^_^
