Well that was an experience @_@

We had a field trip today that actually involved us all getting on a school bus rather than using the TTC/subway/GO train/whatever. So this is good, right? Nope. The bus was half an hour late picking us up and then the driver didn't even really know how to get where we were going. Somehow we did end up there, but it was late...which may not have been a bad thing because a lot of it was pretty d*mn boring anyway. But that's not the point.

AND THEN we get on the bus back and a group decided that they wanted to be dropped off halfway there, which made sense, except the detour put us off the Gardiner expressway and onto Front Street which is bloody busy during rush hour and so while the group that got off saved maybe 20 minutes for their trip, the rest of us were delayed by half an hour. Of course, we admit that usually the group that got off has a really long commute because the ones who stayed live near campus, but it was still annoying, especially because it was humid and hot in the bus and we couldn't open windows that much because it was raining.

So glad to finally be home. Blah, that was unpleasant. And now my head really hurts, as it is prone to when I get dehydrated.

One good thing however, I got four new books. The Dummy's Guide to Playing the Guitar, a book about cats, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and the Deptford Trilogy by Robertson Davies (I feel that I am a bad Canadian reader for never having read Davies, or Rohinton Mistry, or Alice Munroe, or even that much of bloody Margaret Atwood though I did read and love her Journals of Susannah Moodie). I swear, my book collection here in Toronto has grown by 50% because of this course and I have hardly had to pay for a single one of them. So life can be good.

Except when you're stuck on a bus for 3 hours -_-

Grr, I am upset!

For unknown reasons, my stereo seems incapable of picking up any radio signals clearly. And I wanted to listen to CBC radio because I keep hearing about it in class and some of it's programming sounds really neat. But NO, I can't!

Evilness.

I guess I probably need an antenna or something on it.
