Leadership matters?~
Oct. 11th, 2007 07:49 amAnother decent shift. I got to learn how to make the soups, which was exciting...except for the part where I made too much hearty vegetable and ended up burning my hand. It's feeling much better now though.
Uh, so the Conservative Party didn't do very well in last night's Ontario election. Not only did they lose to the Liberals (apparently this is the first back-to-back Liberal government Ontario has had in like, 50 years) but their leader lost his own riding. Ouch. This is a bit amusing though, considering the Conservative slogan was "leadership matters" XD
Anyway, I feel a bit guilty about the whole not voting thing. It just seemed like it would have been a lot of effort, because my permanent address is still in Carp and I am rather not. It is the second provincial election I have missed while eligible, but the other one I had a better reason to not vote in, being that I was not in Ontario and really didn't have a clue what was being campaigned about and whatnot. But this one I did...somewhat. I heard way too much about religion-based schools and their funding. There was other stuff too.
But whatever. NDP did pretty well which makes me happy.
Now time to watch the pilot of Pushing Daisies because I missed it last week and really want to see it, once again, if you are not watching Pushing Daisies and like quirky things, you MUST watch it. It is AWESOME.
