Dec. 11th, 2007 06:19 amWhat a weird night.
Okay, so I got to my regular Tims at 11. As soon as I got there, Anna, the afternoon/evening supervisor, tells me that they are short at the Lakeshore Tims and so they are sending me there. Which is HILARIOUS, since I had just been there an hour before to use the washroom, since it's the one that is 5 minutes from my apartment. So I get a cab (paid for by Tims) and head out.
Well, when I get there the lady who is working nights is well...throwing a bit of a fit because, as it turns out, I don't have a clue how to work their cash registers. It was a bit uncomfortable, sitting there and watching a woman in her 40's throw a temper tantrum. She eventually calmed down and was nice to me, saying it wasn't my fault and that she just hates the store she's at and wants to transfer but things keep preventing it (if all she said was true, she really is getting the short end of the stick when it comes to all that).
Luckily, Chesley, this pretty cool guy, managed to come in for a few hours to help out, which let Virginia (temper tantrum lady) get the baking done and yeah. It was really strange to be in this store though, especially as I tried to figure out how they did everything.
Good thing though is that I got home five minutes after getting to leave. Also, pretty good tips.
I'm going to try to get a few more words in my Sekrit Santa (I'm at 216 right now, need to have at least 800 but I'm not too worried about that, actually...there's a scene that once I get to it should definitely take up a fair amount of time, it's just the stuff before it that is being difficult) and then sleep.
And hope that I get to work in the regular location tonight, because I really missed it (even though I did like that this store closes its counter and also is about twice the size of the Islington one).
