No power/No phone/No internet

Vicki's mom here. I just received an emergency phone call from Vicki asking me to inform all you unknown readers/friends out there that due to a water main break in Toronto last night, Vicki has had no power, no phone and no internet/cable. She phoned me from the landlord's office who now has phone & cable so maybe her's will be back soon.

In the meantime, her apartment is freezing!

So - now you know why you are not hearing from her.

So, it figures that RIGHT after I get a hold of my mother (using my landlord's phone), my cable line is up and running. Well, at least the phone and internet is. The TV seemed a bit stuck, but I'll worry about that later.

Anyway yeah, that was an interesting night of darkness. And morning of COLD (the apartment fell to 12 degrees Celsius before the power came back). And I'm one of the lucky ones! A fair number of people still don't have power and Hydro has no idea when they'll have it back...they're hoping by tonight.

And Toronto is in the middle of a cold spell...well, at least cold for Toronto spell XD

But now I am back. Oh internets, how I missed you.

Also, I definitely need to get myself a battery-operated radio because I was just completely isolated last night @_@
