i_paint_the_skySo, I finally actually got to work for once, yay. Alan (the guy whose car broke down during training) and I were staining this woman's deck. She does homeschooling, so she was around the whole day and very nice. Apparently the kids she teaches (we think she has some that aren't hers) were doing an African unit so they put together an African meal for lunch. Why wasn't my school that cool?
Anyway, the work was okay. I'm not a big fan of prep. Or of painting in difficult areas (she has some trelises and the fencing where there are two rows of beams that alternate...if that makes sense). Or of spiders, which we found a million of, but overall it went well. I earned my money, at any rate XD
It was threatening to rain but didn't really start until 4ish, so we packed up then and, if the weather is good tomorrow, we'll be back then.
I have two goals for tonight:
- laundry
- Karlesta application (I'm finally set on Miwako as a PB, which was bogging me down before...still no idea about Rhaieen, because I decided on my walk to work today that I really didn't want to use the one I'd thought of, because for some reason she doesn't strike me as a blonde @_@)
