i_paint_the_skyAnime viewing fun time!
I actually think this is my least favourite episode so far. The fox thing was kinda...very blah. I like supernatural but that was getting cutesy supernatural and never really explained either. I'm glad to hear that it was only a short story in the manga and was combined with the more interesting shiritori stuff.
The animation still hurts, though it does actually look quite a bit better in widescreen, as this comparision shows.
I would just like to take a moment to say how much I really like the opening of this series. The song is so fun and upbeat and I love the very manga-ish style of the animation. So much better than xxxHolic, where I can't stand the animation, though I do like the song. I need to watch the Princess Princess opening again, it didn't strike me as great the first time but maybe another chance would be good.
Anyway, onto the episode itself. OMG THAT WAS SO SO VERY AWESOME. Like, wow. Ouran I think is the most likely of the anime I'm watching to end up being kept after all, even though originally I was thinking it would be a one-time watching experience. Of course, this still is very dependent on the rest of the series, since it is episodic but awesome.
I just loved that episode though, even more so since I hear that there is a later pairing with Haruhi and one of the twins, I can't remember which (I also cannot tell the difference between them, at least not yet...I need to nail down which personality goes with which, since they are different enough). So much love for Haruhi, Hikaru, and Kaoru though, that was great!
At very least, that episode is sticking around a bit longer...maybe I'll get Margaret to watch it.
