Went to the Evanescence concert last night...and it was just amazing. Totally godly.

There were three opening bands, which was interesting. The first two (Breaking Benjamin and Seether) were pretty good. I'm not going to rush out and buy their CD, but they were entertaining. I did really like the song Broken, which is Seether featuring Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence. I haven't heard it too often, but I can see why it became a hit, even if it was never really intended to be.

Three Days Grace was the third band, and I really liked them. I think I will buy their CD...especially since I had a lot of money saved up for the concert, and then there were nothing being sold except for food (oh, and the bootleg T-shirts in the parking lots >.<). I was really hoping to finally be able to get Evanescence's other album, Origin, since I love the songs that I know of on it.

Finally, it was time for Evanescence to appear (it was 10 by this time...the show started at 7). And it was just so amazing. If you thought they were good on the CD, you HAVE to check them out live. They are just so much better. And Amy Lee has such a stage presence, you can't take your eyes off her (and I should know...my eyes were rather hating me yesterday, after going through eye examines and then being subjected to the lightshow!). It's so clear that she loves singing and music. During the instrumental bridges, she would be twirling around on the stage, in her white dress with jeans underneath. It was just a great show. Definitely worth my money.

I also found out that Amy plays the piano for the band...I never knew that before. It was really cool, because she played and sang My Immortal, and also the intro for Bring Me to Life. It was even cooler because I have the music for the songs on Fallen, so I can play both those songs too (in theory, at least =P)

Anyway, I really can't describe how amazing it was. This was my first real rock concert too (Celion Dion, who I saw a few years ago, before she started sucking, just doesn't count). And even though it means I only got 6 hours of sleep, it was still totally worth seeing.
