Will you hire me?

i_paint_the_skyWell, I just finished applying for a job at the City of Ottawa this summer. And then filled out a million surveys that were basically the same for each position. Funness. And now, I get to wait and see what they offer me. There are two jobs I would REALLY love, and four others that would be ok. I'll let you guys know what happens with the job search.
I also have my resume floating around the Soloway Jewish Community Centre, where I worked for the last few years. But, if they want me, they are going to have to offer me some actually money this time, not the pitiful salary of a camp counselor.
So, before this huge applying process, I had tried to make some brownies and cookies for the Mt A Anime Club's bake sale. Sadly, this didn't really end up happening, because I need clarification on the recipe, and my mother is out curling. So then I went to go work on my costume for Animaritime. And found that I am incompetant when it comes to our old, evil sewing machine. This is what led to me finally sitting down to write cover letters, something I've never done before. But once you know what you're doing, it isn't that bad.
But before this, I spent a few hours with Elise. Which was SO great, because I hadn't seen her for SO long (since graduation in June!) Anyway, we had bagels and then went back to her rez room at Carleton U. It was a bit longer than mine, but the width was about the same. Her furniture moves though. So, we sat and talked for a bit more, and then I downloaded some of the best AMVs onto her computer, starting with Sappy Self-Indulgence, because we both are Moulin Rouge freaks, and I knew she'd love it, because that vid is a mix of anime couples lip-syncing The Elephant Love Medley. It was great. And since she liked it so much, I also downloaded Tainted Donuts (the vid mixing Trigun with Cowboy Bebop, such an amazing editing job) and a Fushigi Yuugi vid to Come What May. I also tried to download Specatacular Anime, but it hadn't downloaded before I left. But I'm sure she loved it too.
The greatest thing though is I have apparently managed to get her obsessed with watching Fushigi Yuugi...without ever showing her a single episode. Actually, she's only even seen three characters: Miaka, Tamahome and Nakago. But she really wants to see it, and the other animes in Sappy, as does her roommate.
Go me! I have created another anime fan!!!!
Well, that's about all the happened today. Oh, and if there is anyone who watches Days of Our Lives out there, I would really like to know WHY Marlena is the serial killer. That makes NO sense. If she does explain it, could you let me know?
