Alright, I decided to also do Dots' latest meme thing, featuring Himitsu character theme songs. I have uploaded them all already, so even non-Himitsu people can enjoy some snazzy downloads!




Themes I'm fully satisfied with:

Irene - Vanessa Carlton - Twilight

Irene is a character who I've been able to sort of project themes for before she gets there and use them as inspiration. I definitely decided that she was working towards this one at some point, probably around when Jarek died but I don't really remember. I just love this song so very much and it made me so happy when the new default icon that Rosa made for me featured its lyrics.

I was stained, with a role,

Isobel - Alanis Morissette - Hand In My Pocket

I never though Isobel's song would change from being Hands by Jewels. But then she did change a bit and I think this song captures that aspect of her more and I really do love how it fits. Um, not much else to say that. I'd say that I don't expect it to change again but I'm sure saying that would only end up with me being wrong again.

I do sort of love that both songs focused on hands.

Justine - Alanis Morissette - All I Really Want

Like Dots, I try to avoid having too many songs by the same artist for these things. But two of the Alanis songs are just so perfect that I can easily overlook the repetition. This song isn't so much what the lyrics say but the whole attitude around them. It is just so Justine and I love it.

Special mention also goes to Evanescence (another repeat you will see later) because Lithium is also a great Justine song. Also I am still totally in love with Stabalizer's song Needless from the Justine & Rolen FST. Justine really is a character who has been in many ways driven/inspired by music, so it's really no surprise that I seem to have so many songs in mind for her.

Mianne - Vitamin C - Smile

This and Natalie King Cole's Smile Though Your Heart is Breaking (which was used on the Mianne/Halster LP) are my two pinnacle Mianne songs. Like Isobel and songs about hands, Mianne just fits songs about smiling and stuff. I am going to go out on a limb and say this song probably will never change...at least, I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Taylor - Les Misérables - Castle On a Cloud

While I think this song doesn't fully capture Taylor's personality entirely...I really like it for him. It really captures his escapist side, which is what his writing is all about. I think it may not entirely be the best song for him but I love it well enough that I don't really care to change it anytime soon, unless I find something absolutely perfect.

Eudora - No Doubt - Just a Girl

This may be my favourite of the bunch, mainly because playing Eudora has made me understand this song so much more. I love it when things like that happen. And it is just so...Eudora. Plus I love No Doubt so very much.

Flower - Jekyll & Hyde - The World Has Gone Insane

Awesomely, the thing I like about Flower most right now is this song. It really is wonderful and I should maybe use it to try and get something going for her. Maybe it will change my mind about my future plans to write her out somehow when the Floran arc is done.

Nansi - Sarah McLachlan - Ice Cream

This one is similar to Taylor's, where it doesn't tell the whole story but fits one part enough that I love using it. Nansi's is a bit better though, since Hana is so much the center of her world.

Also I just saw Sarah McLachlan perform this live on Canada Day and it was so awesome, I love her.

Megan - Peggy Lee - Is That All There Is

Probably the oddest song I have here. I love Peggy Lee though and I really like this song in relation to Megan, though I also want to try and use it more for inspiration when it comes to future development.

Not fully satisfied with these, but not unhappy either:

Maire - NANA - Broken Rose

I debated putting this one up in the previous section but I'm not as happy with it as I could be. However, Maire also is a character who has a next song lined up for when planned developments happen and I am incredibly happy about that one, so it's just a waiting game until it is applicable. But I think this one fits well enough, though maybe a bit less now that she's married and happy.

Dale - Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends

This is here mainly because it's not the most original choice and I also think I need to figure out a new direction to take him. But I think it does fit quite nicely, as did his original one, Gollum's Song from The Two Towers. But it isn't exactly an inspired choice.

Lark - Evanescence - Going Under

Another one that both isn't a greatly original choice, plus probably should change to reflect character growth. But when I switched to it I did quite like it and I still love the song.

Gilbert - Chumbawamba - Tubthumping

I do like this one for Gilbert but I don't think it's quite good enough. It really is more a placeholder until I can track down something better (which admittedly hasn't been a priority recently...god, I still need to redo my character info images because, as some have probably noticed, I deleted all the old ones so only the first six characters or so on my list have graphics right now). I guess this song is just too simple really.

Cylina - Creed - Beautiful

Hmm. I love this song. And I love the idea of Cylina fitting it. But I don't think she really does, not as much as I would like. But again, like Gilbert I haven't found anything better yet and so it will stay until I do.

Oscar - Simple Plan - I'm Just a Kid

Another song that was good but just has been outgrown now. I've been trying to find a new direction to go with Oscar, perhaps this is another case where I should find a new song and then start going towards it with his development, since that has worked very well for me in the past.

River - Code Geass - O2

This one was chosen for the line "I continue to fight." Because of that it sort of fits but I'm sure there are better choices out there for River. Again, should think of something to use in planning since I'm a bit uncertain what she will be doing next.

Lian - Billy Joel - Piano Man (this is not actually in her userinfo but it is still her song)

Another song I recently heard performed live, hurrah! It doesn't fit perfectly but it does work well enough that I will probably get it into her userinfo at some point. Maybe.

Patience - Beach Boys - Sloop John B

I've been trying to find a new one for Patience for AGES. I really liked his last song, Man's Road from The Last Unicorn and I did like this one for him at some point...but I just think he needs something new. But I have no ideas what to change too so...yeah. We'll see.

Kastel - Get Up Kids - Martyr Me

I really liked this song initially but I've been wanting to look for something new for awhile now, so it gets put in this category. I latched on to the idea of Kastel having a martyr complex when I first chose this and, while he still does have one, I don't think the song really does him justice (and I'm not sure how much it ever did...though I do love the default icon with "martyr me" written on it).

Caroline - Moulin Rouge - One Day I'll Fly Away

For being one of my favourite characters, Caroline doesn't have the greatest song. I've never quite found one that entirely did her justice and this one REALLY doesn't anymore because since Emmeline's death the whole Nallen dynamic has just changed too much.

Morgan - Vitamin C - Me, Myself and I

Eh, this song almost fit but not quite and it's gotten worse. And it's a repeat. Really do need to see if I can find another one, especially because Morgan would be another character who could potentially be helped by me finding a new song as inspiration. I really didn't quite realize before I did this how much inspiration I was pulling from songs (or how well it was workig when I did that).

Noel - Spice Girls - Viva Forever

Okay, technically this wasn't the last song I used for him because he had progressed a bit beyond this by actually marrying Eden and all but still...this is forever going to be Noel's song for me. Have the time I can't even listen to it because it makes me upset about his death (the same thing happens with Franz Ferdinand's Evil and a Heathen, which is so completely Jarek that I can't deal with listening to it so much of the time). This is a bit sad because it's such a wonderful song. Oh the Spice Girls.

Emmeline - Rent - One Song Glory

Okay, I'm cheating a bit with this one too, since Evanescence's Exodus is the song in her profile. But this is the one I associate with her more because well, it really fits.

Azshara - Delerium - Aria

Another of my favourite groups (which is why they've popped up on both FSTs I've made). This song is another that I love SO much and also another that more fits the mood of Azshara, rather than the lyrics actually being about her or anything. Also the lyrics are in Old English and that really worked well too.

Chiel - Sugarcult - Hate Every Beautiful Day

Okay, I just ripped this one off from the Himitsu maincast FST that Rosa did ages ago. Because it really works for her and yes. That's about all I have to say.

Asher - Marilyn Manson - Redeemer

This song is from the Queen of the Damned soundtrack and honestly, it is one of my favourite things about Asher. Wow, my dead characters have a lot of awesome songs attached to them.

Hayden. I also have NO ideas for him.

Kolton. I am however SUPER tempted to make it Dancing Queen, for lulz and the fact that it actually does fit him (other than the fact that he is male, of course, but as well as Piano Man fits Lian).

Xander. Again, no ideas.

Benedette. Also no ideas.
