Back online after a few days away. I've been reading a lot of Juliet Marillier ([livejournal.com profile] 35books2010 people, there will be updates about this soon) and sort of just didn't bother turning the computer back on until an hour ago or so.

Work today sort of sucked. Not sure why. And it was only a 6 hour shift too....not looking forward to tomorrow's 1:30-close. I actually originally had today off (I have the first Tuesday of the month booked off for the rest of this year now for book club) but switched daytime shifts with Natalia so now I have Friday off instead. Thursday I have a 10-4 and Saturday is 11:30-close.

My apartment is ridiculously messy again. It makes me depressed how fast this seems to happen. Tomorrow I will try to make some headway on that.

Uh...this season of Lost is driving me up the wall right now. I can't believe they only have 5 (?) episodes left to make this all make SENSE. Craziness.

Not much else going on with life.

Everybody ought to have a maid...

Maybe you have a poltergeist instead? :p

I'm off to New Orleans tomorrow. Will be back on Monday and my life should be much, much calmer so we should totally get together.

...plus, I want to use your internet-fu (which is far, far greater than mine) to try to find season 2 of Wallander in a format I can view as I really don't want to wait a year and change to see it when it finally airs in North America.

Good luck at the conference! Can't wait to actually see you again when it's over.

And I'll see if I can find anything (my usual source however has failed me ;_;)

Cool!!

We could, er, try bowling again perhaps.

I can get you the names of the individual eps if you like ... they often refer to them individually at there were only three of them ... they're like 3 little 90minute mini-movies.

Yeah, I actually think I mispelled it first and I seem to get results when I'm not so we'll have to see.

Okay, I think I can find it on bittorrent ^_^ Do you use that? I can download for you and transfer on my USB perhaps.

Bows to your superior internet skillz.

I can't use bitorrent on my current computer. In the fall the gates of the internet will open wide even to I, with my old-fogie knowledge of it's paths and corridors.

I can bring over a hard-drive and we could put it on there maybe? I dunno. I'll let you figure it out as you evidently know what you are doing and I do not.

THANKS!

On an unrelated note, now that the weather is getting nicer have you thought about riding your bike to work? Would save $$ and further your getting in shape goals. I can help you if it needs work.

It really takes far too long to get to the Eaton Centre on my bike (I've done it but it's at least an hour for me) and the idea of doing that at the end of a late shift just makes me want to shoot myself. But I do need to get it repaired and road-worthy again for other trips.

Hrm ... we could do the trip together a few times if you like. It really shouldn't take that long so either you bike really, really slow (which I kind of doubt) or you might not be taking the best route.

I mean yeah, don't do it everyday if you don't want but it can be a nice stress reliever to ride home from work at times.

It might work on some days but not when I have closing shifts, which is most of the time lately.

Yep. But I actually like the subway since I have time to sit and read which I don't often to any other time.
