i_paint_the_skyI was talking to tersa about all the stuff I am working on, fan fic related, and thought it might be good to make a master post of it. If only to make my insanity obvious for everyone, including myself, because OMG how do I keep doing this to myself???
Multi-parts
The Mistress (Dragon Age): if you've been reading my posts for long, you've probably heard this one mentioned a few times. Basically, I had a lot of ideas for small scenes with Elissa/Alistair and decided to string it all together. And make it so that Elissa was Cailan's mistress pre-game.
The pace has been a lot slower than excepted (the number of chapters it took to get out of the damn Cousland origin was ridicuolus) but I've gotten to the point now where I can just sort of skip around and hit the main points, without going through every plot detail because there are things I don't have much to say about, while other things I have lots of ideas for.
Varric's Last Tale (Dragon Age): My Varric/Sereda Aeducan fic. I actually have most of this written, though the next chapter to be posted is missing a big section.
I originally was hoping to get this out before Inqusition came out, though in the end I'm glad I didn't since the information about the real Bianca is definitely useful. I'm hoping I will get the rest up soon but I'm feeling a bit stuck at the scene I'm in and so have been working on easier stuff instead.
The Right of Annulment (Dragon Age): Pretty sure this one is going to be a multi-part, though I will probably finish the thing completely before posting any of it, unlike what I've done with the others in this section.
The premise for this is that Evelyn Trevelyan was originally in the Kinloch Hold Circle and thus got to experience the "fun" that was Uldred. This left her with some emotional scars, which are brought back during the Mage Rebellion and made worse when she suddenly comes face to face with Cullen, who scared her to death back then with the whole "let's kill all the mages" thing.
Obviously going to end up being Trevelyan/Cullen because yes. I love that pairing. Also writing this one in first person present, because it's a POV I haven't used recently.
Between the Sun and the Moon (Vampire Diaries): My poor non-DA fic is sadly getting a bit neglected these days. This may change once TVD picks up again and there are new episodes to watch an inspire me, even if my fic is an AU from some point in uh ... season five, I think?
I do really like this one, particularly how I alternate between first person POV for Caroline and third person POV for Klaus. It's a technique I saw used in Emily Giffen's Heart of the Matter and I just found it pretty fascinating, so I had to try it out.
Seat of the Princess Who Spoke No Words (Silent Hill 2): This is one of those fics I've been sort of working on for a long time. It features Laura, from Silent Hill 2, as a teenager who goes back to Silent Hill in an act of rebellion, only this time the town isn't quite as safe and wonderful as she remembers. I will also not be posting this until it is either done, or I'm finishing something else.
One-shots
Blood of Dragons (Dragon Age): This is actually a fill for two kinkmeme prompts, which has been interesting. Basically one involves King Alistair meeting Kieran (who is his son from the Dark Ritual), the second involved issues with Fiona. And Queen Elissa is along for the ride.
Currently I am writing them as two connected but mostly standalone stories. I'll be combining them for an eventual posting on AO3.
This is odd too in that really it's the same version of Alistair and Elissa from The Mistress, set 10 years after they end the Blight ... something I'm not even close to reaching in The Mistress. Oh well, I think it's decently obvious where the end of that one is going anyway.
Right There/Right Here(Dragon Age): Right There is actually finished, it's a Cassandra/Varric kinkmeme fill that I will share here once I've polished it up a little bit and posted to AO3. So you'll see that soon.
Right Here is another Cassandra/Varric prompt that I thought was adorable, and so it will be a sequel story. I haven't started it beyond telling the OP that I'm interested in writing it.
V for Victoria(Dragon Age): Another kinkmeme fill that I have "claimed" so to speak but haven't started writing, beyond brainstorming. Hero of Ferelden Tabris was in a relationship with Leliana.Tabris finds a cure for the Taint (hurrah!) and comes home to find out that her girlfriend is now the Divine (boo!) . Hijinks ensue, maybe ... haven't gotten to that point yet.
A Year and a Day (Kushiel's Legacy): A fic about what Sidonie during the time that Imriel was in Alba. This fic made me realize that Jacqueline Carey's writing style probably had an influence on mine because I am able to copy it very easily. I haven't gotten very far in actually writing this one but I really like what I do have.
Carl & Clementine (The Walking Dead): That is not it's actual title, I just don't have a real one yet. Basically, Carl is one of my fav TWD characters and Clem actually IS my favourite. And I figure they are probably about the same age and both pretty damn good at taking care of themselves. And thus, a (sort of) ship was born. I have the first scene of this one and nothing else.
AND THAT IS ALL. If my counting is right, that is ten fics in total.
Which is crazy.
And then I still have my original fiction that I'm supposedly working on (right now it's all Dragon Age, all the time ... and I'm okay with that because fandom in full swing is fun!).
