3 days left...not that I'm counting or anything =P

I'm about half-way through my re-read of OotP. I'm surprised with how fast it's going, actually. I'm definitely back up to my regular reading speed of about 80-100 pages an hour, after the rate plummeted in Anna Karenina. I am definitely glad I stopped reading that, though it does look as though the story got a little more interesting further on.

I must work on Seeing Double tonight. I don't think there is anything else that I will be doing, other than watching some Olympics so my mother doesn't complain that they never see me and that I'm always online.

Oh, and 18 days till I get back to Mt A. Woot!

This has been an interesting evening, to say the least.

Ok, first a little background info. The Ottawa Ex starts tomorrow. It's held on the same grounds as the football field where the Renegades play. And since the 'Gades have a game the same night as the Ex's opening, there's a deal that if you have football tickets you can get into the fair for free.

I heard a ad for this, and jokingly said we should buy football tickets so that we could go to the Ex. Then my mom thought it was a good idea. Apparently she has been wanted to go to a game for awhile. Anyway, then plans were made to go.

But just a few days ago, it was decided to be too expensive. And so I agreed to babysit for my aunt and uncle, while they went to the game.

Well, tonight Shirley and Mike called (the previously mentioned aunt and uncle). Apparently since they are season ticket holders, they can get two tickets at half-price for the game. And they offer to take my parents. But not me, because I'm babysitting. Except that I'm only free to babysit because we weren't going to the game.

So, I went and glared at my mother for awhile, until she got on the phone to my aunt. Who then got to see if she could find another babysitter. Luckily she could. So I get to go.

I'm still a bit put out though, just because I do think they knew my parents and I had talked about going to the game together, and then to only offer 2/3 of the family tickets is rather inconsiderate.

I'm not 100% sure they knew...but I'm pretty sure.
