Hurrah, I have the day off. Oh it is nice! Except I realized that starting on this coming Thursday night, I have 6 shifts in a row. Ouch. And most (if not all) will be 2 people, because Biatha is leaving for Zimbabwe (but she says she will bring me back an African outfit...I am excited about that!).

Today I am heading down to Value Village to look for costume supplies. That is the only plan I have. Other than hanging out and having some fun (and making sure I get proper sleeping routine in...I must stay on nights!

Okay, this Free Tibet thing is getting f***ing ridiculous now. They are getting upset about the mayor of Toronto going to China to talk trade and not making the thing about human rights instead.

He's the MAYOR OF TORONTO. Why would any Chinese official care what he has to say about human rights? That's something for the Federal government to deal with, maybe even the Provincial ones. But it is so beyond the range of Municipal government that the idea would be funny if the whole thing wasn't so stupid.

As if trying to ruin the Olympics by making it all about politics wasn't enough. (I don't mind them making an issue of it, I do mind it being taken over because it's supposed to be about athletics!)
