That was a strange shift at work. We were actually pretty damn busy for the first half, then not so much for the second half. And time just seemed to go by at a snail's pace. But it wasn't bad, because hanging out with Jewels is fun. I still would have liked being home better though, but money is good.

This week is an odd schedule. I'm working every day except for Monday night and Wednesday night. This means the secret that I can work Thursdays again is out. Oh well.

Only 3 volumes left in my Chobits re-read. It's interesting to see how much I have forgotten, since it has been ages since I read the series (and I read the final four volumes in a couple hours, after taking a year to get the first four bought and read =P).

Not my else. My life, as always, is very boring.

The list of lame awesomeness (aka the list that tells me when all RP characters updated last and shows how many posts they have made within a certain period) makes me happy right now. Everyone has posted in April! Well, except Justine but that's on purpose.

And the three characters who have gone the longest without posting are Maire, Isobel, and Eudora, who are all easy to post with, hurrah! I finally have activity back where I want it to be, I think. Now let's see how long this lasts.

I meant to still be asleep, but my body decided otherwise apparently. Not sure why, though it can't help that neighbours were in the hall talking and stuff. Hopefully I'll get some napping in before I go to work tonight...and then I have tomorrow night off so I can recover.

I need to start getting to work on my Franziska cosplay. I don't know if the Anime North Phoenix Wright group is still on or not, but I plan to have the costume anyway. I think maybe tomorrow I shall go down to Value Village and see what I can buy. And be SO happy to have that little figure of Franziska that I can bring with me which not only shows the costume...but shows it from behind ^_^!

I still wish I was asleep though...I even went to bed early!

I have finished my Chobits re-read and wow, I love the series. It's so nice to remember what happens in it again XD

HOWEVER, I must say I could have done with Zima and Gita and their whole storyline. I think it just detracted from what was going on with Hideki and Chi and yeah...they were really superfluous.

But I still love it.

There are a few more series I have that I'd like to re-read. I've been thinking of re-reading xxxHolic up to vol 11. And also I want to re-read Ceres, now that I finally have vol 1 & 2 back (even if poor 1 got attacked by Sansa, silly puppy). But those are both significantly longer than Chobits, so it might take awhile.

Plus I have new manga coming from Chapters that hopefully will get here tomorrow (it was in Mississauga on Friday...yay for being near where Chapters orders come from!). It includes Tsubasa vol 5 (I've decided to continue with that series at least until 6, because Kate says there is a more continuous storyline and so basically this arc will be the make or break point for me, because I'm still not loving the series), Vampire Knight vol 1 (which I've at least mostly read, but would like to re-read in celebration of the anime), Sugar Sugar Rune vol 3, and Gunslinger Girl vol 6, and Welcome to the NHK! vol 6 (which means I will be caught up with the English release for those last two). Oh, and Jes was sending me ES vol...whatever that latest one is, which means I'll be caught up with it too.

I like being caught up with the English release, because it makes me feel like I'm not missing anything and also it means that I can't go out and buy a bazillion books from one series all at once. Currently I have all the released volumes for xxxHolic, Ouran Host Club, Genbu Kaiden, and Sand Chronicles.

Of course, I also have a ton of series that I am significantly behind with. It's actually fun though, strategically planning what to buy next. God help me though if I do fall for Tsubasa now, since last I checked there were 16 volumes released and I'm only at 5.

Toronto, what have you started?

Hockey games make great background noise for naps. Yep, I'm a good Canadian. Really.

While admittedly I didn't see all that much of it, tonight's Montreal vs Boston game was pretty good. I'm mostly cheering for the Habs, because they are the most likely Canadian team in the playoffs (as much as I love them, I don't really expect the Senators to win the series against the Penguins). But the Bruins have Chara, who is awesome, so they aren't my most hated NHL team anymore (that honour probably falls to the Rangers...and the Leafs XD).

One thing I did notice however is that whenever one of the captains touched the puck, the opposing sides fans would start booing (and yes, there were enough Montreal fans in Boston to make it about an even split as far as noise goes). I don't remember this happening, until Toronto started doing it to Alfredson a few years back, after he made fun of Mats Sundin. Silly Toronto fans. I'm actually not really a big fan of booing players because I'd rather appreciate a good player, even if he is on the opposing team. But I suppose if you're the captain you've proven yourself enough that it probably amuses you.

Anyway, refreshed enough for work, I guess. Hopefully tonight will be slow as Sunday night often is.


Edit: And uh...oops. Apparently Desperate Housewives was back tonight. Oh well.
