Feb. 10th, 2015 10:46 pmImriel's surgery went smoothly. He's got a lovely stapled-up incision on his stomach and thus such henceforth be known as Frankendog. At least until they come out. He's definitely quite subdued tonight, and more than a little clingy (even by his standards!). But mostly annoyed that I'm not letting him eat and drink as much as he would like (stomach surgery and all).
( Behold, Frankendog! )
Also, hurrah for having the vet be a family friend, the whole thing was done for just over $600 which is just amazing.
I'll be working from home tomorrow to keep an eye on him. I bought a no bite collar thing that is basically a plastic tube that immobilizes his neck. He doesn't like it, of course, but let knocking things over than a cone of shame and he certainly can't be trusted not to lick and possibly pull out the staples on his own.
