CHIRIKO'S DEATH IS SO SAD ;_________; Especially now that I appreciate his image song playing. ;______; It was very upsetting.

I wish he'd had a chance to actually do more...and that the anime had kept his powers more intact...only having him be smart when the symbol was glowing.

Poor Chiriko ;_; He was so cute.

And now they are all about to start dropping ;_; Just watched the part where Margaret and I were yelling at Nakago to send Suboshi...and then he did...and then Su ended up dead ;_;

Poor Su ;_____; He should not have been beaten by powerless Tamahome...he was able to hold his own with normal powers Tamahome earlier.

Yeah, Chiriko was jipped. Especially considering that in the manga, Watase had been thinking about having him come back much older and even had a sketch of him... he look nice...

Also, as for Suboshi being beaten by Tamahome, the basic theory is that it was subconcious guilt at killing Tama's family that did him in.

Yeah, the end it definitely was the guilt, with the kids and stuff (though that doesn't happen in the manga...one of the really good changes made by the anime)...I still think Tamahome should have ended up a lot worse than he did. Because he had no powers and Suboshi's had developed more, enough to send the meteor ball chasing Tamahome around.

I remember reading Amiboshi and Suboshi's death. Those were well played out, though it's a bit sad about Su :( I only vaguely remember Chiriko's death... it's been awhile since I read that.

I read vol.14 today! It was pretty good, though I won't spoil since I'm not sure if you've read it yet. Completely differnt then the descriptions I've read of the OVA's [though I take it those are based on novels or something]. It's wierd reading the little blurbs Watase puts in though, as apparently she did these chapters around the same time as the anime started airing. The manga series is over 10 years old now! It's good stuff though. I miss reading it in Animerica Extra, but getting the trades is nice :)

Actually, I don't believe that Amiboshi dies. He does in the OVA, but I'm told that's not in the manga (which is good because the OVA death was the WORST DEATH EVER >:O)

Chiriko got possessed by Miboshi and ended up having to kill himself in order to defeat him. It was very sad...and his image song played and it's such a HAPPY song.

I've read vol 14...very interesting. The second OVA was based off that part of FY part 2, as it's called. It's really fun seeing her reactions to the anime being made. I love Watase very much...her comments are so funny.

When I get the rest of the manga (I need 15 and 7), I'm going to have fun reading the entire series.

I forget what happened to Amiboshi. Again, I read it a year ago :) I have to reread it. I'm pretty sure FY manga goes past Vol.15 though... vol.16 has been solicited. I think it's 18 volumes. I wonder if Viz'll translated the novels?

I had thought it was only 15...but looks like I was wrong, Anime News Network lists 18 too.

Well then =P

I hope they translate the novels...that would be snazzy.
