So.
Elphaba gets to spend the night at the vet's instead of coming home. She hadn't shaken off the effects of the anesthesia yet and so, while awake and alert enough to grumble at all the staff who handled her (but not me!), she couldn't really walk very well (she tried but back legs didn't work so well and so she fell over) and basically was still too doped up to be sent home.
I was concerned because Jenn was going to drive us back today but I couldn't get a drive tomorrow (Jenn was also awesome and stayed the whole time and then gave me a drive home which was extra good because it was FREEZING today), but as it turns out the vet lives near here and so said she could bring Elphie over around lunchtime tomorrow, so I don't have to subject her to a twenty minute walk in the cold after surgury.
I am doing my best not to panic and freak out though I am only being slightly successful at this because it's just my nature to do so. But the vet talked to me for long enough and everything seems fairly good, albeit not totally normal because normally she would have been fine to come home today.
WE ONLY HAVE TO DO THIS ONCE THOUGH :]!
Edit: In better news, The Last Unicorn is getting its first widescreen DVD release to celebrate it's 25th anniversary, hurrah! Now, if only those rumors about a live-action version had been true ;_;
Edit 2: And Death Note has been licensed. Which means tracking down fansubs will be interesting. I know two groups have dropped it, which I fully support, yet at the same time, I honestly don't want to spend money on the series without knowing more about the ending. I don't know...there is one group still doing it, apparently, but the two groups whose names I knew are the ones to drop.
