Ack, I am on a Mac!

This is weird, especially since it's a newer version than I've ever used before (which isn't hard, since the last time I used a Mac was in high school). I'm gradually figuring out how everything works, I think.

Currently having our 10 o'clock break from Design class. It's really interesting, though the teacher is a bit...arrogant I find at times. But he does know what he's talking about at least.

I have a huge desire to icon. But I can't, at least not right now. But I have been wanting new icons.

ALSO, is there anyone out there who knows of a good tutorial or something for learning how to make LJ layouts? I've always wanted to try it but I don't have a clue where to start. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe when I finally master something, I'll have the funds to get a paid account (I really want one!)

Wow, you've started classes already? That's crazy. I hope they're interesting. Mac's are supposed to be better for most creative-type computer programs

Yeah, classes started on Tuesday. When they say starting in May, they mean it ^_^

Macs ftw \o/

As for LJ layouts: I think S1 is probably easier to learn than S2, because it's pretty much like HTML only with the LJ code subbed in some places, instead of making you screw around with CSS. But I pretty much got someone to explain div layers to me, and then I just looked at the code for other people's layouts and figured out what kinds of things needed to change to make it work for me -- trial and error, pretty much.

It's why every layout I've ever made has Yuzu credited for the code. XD;

I hate Macs so much. I also feel REALLY awkward trying to use one because I'm so used to the PC system (and really fond of having multiple buttons and a scrollwheel on my mouse!)

Yeah, I've done stuff like that, taking another person's code and altering it, but I still need a base code to work with anyway.

Well, even if the mouse they come with only has one button, other mice still work with them. XD

Yes, but those type are what the lab has.

I also definitely had fun trying to figure out the OS, since it was a newer version than anything I've used, though I think I sort of got it but the end.

I had to install a ton of shit on a MacBook today and when you insert a disk it sounds like it is eating it. I thought I broke it. :(

Also I am still vehemently opposed to the lack of a right click

Lack of right click drives me insane, though less so since I know that control and left click does the same thing.

we were installing windows on the darn thing for a customer, and until I realized I needed to maybe install the drivers for it the control + click wasn't working on the windows side and I wanted to stab the screen repeatedly with a sharp pointy object. :[

Oh God, that would be horrible. I still can't believe I used them for so many years without knowing about it, but knowing about it and not having it work...
