So last night I completely failed when it comes to TV premieres. But part of it wasn't my fault! CTV moved CSI to 8 instead of 10 and I didn't realize it!
Of course, completely forgetting to watch what I could have for Grey's was my own fault. But I was going to miss about half of it because of when I got back.
Also, I just realized that I am collecting a Geneon anime which means now I get to flail about and go see if I can find a good price to get ParaKiss 2 & 3 because I don't need to be collecting another OOP series! Luckily, I was already thinking that I would buy some DVDs and try to finish a series up this month...but I was thinking it would be Wolf's Rain first. Poor WR always gets left behind.
Edit: Also! I was telling Trebs that I was worried about my TTC pass because this week's only goes to the 30th and my next pass is October, so I was concerned about working on Sept 31st and how I would use the streetcar/bus.
And then she reminded me that there is no Sept 31st. Win.

on 2007-09-28 09:52 pm (UTC)Things have become a bit more clear, but basically, retailers can't return Geneon releases anymore, unless it's a release from late Sept/early Oct [new releases are usually returnable]. What this all means is that while you're less likely to find them on shelves, you can still order them, unless it's a title that has no stock remaining at any of Geneon's distributors. So right now, we're all good, but who knows in a years time...... it all depends on what they do with their licenses, and their backstock [which could sit as is, be destroyed as licenses expired, get liquidated for cheap, or just go to whoever takes over for them, if said deal allows it (again with the destroying)]. There's also Geneon's having a different distribution company in Canada, so it's unclear how that all fits into things....
CDPlus's prices are a little lower then HMV's for Geneon titles, if you want to order at retail [are there CDPluses in Ontario?]. Looking at Amazon.ca they charge around 29.59, which isn't too bad, and it looks like you can get free shipping if you buy over 39.... I'd suggest calling around, and seeing what pricing you can get from local retailers, or if anyone has it in stock for conviences sake.
ps- Given the Paradise Kiss Boxset was due to ship in November, like all of Geneon's Nov. releases, it's effectively cancelled..... I guess if I want Paradise Kiss I'll have to root around for the singles at some point too..... I also need the rest of Kannazuki no Miko...... poor Geneon....
How much of Wolf's Rain do you have? The singles are still available, Bandai usually keeps them in print for a bit.

on 2007-09-28 10:32 pm (UTC)I think the 2nd AnimeLegends boxset of Wolf's Rain has the last 3 discs in it, and the first one the first 4 discs...... though if you find the singles on sale they'd probably be nicer [same discs, nicer packaging].

on 2007-09-28 10:36 pm (UTC)I think I'll get the singles because the money difference really isn't much, plus then I have a full boxset because I got the special edition DVD 1 plus box plus plushie plus OST package.

on 2007-09-28 11:58 pm (UTC)50's pretty decent..... I remember 4 years ago when that was Geneon's SRP price for the Canadian market [I don't even want to think about the 59.99 Cowboy Bebop DVD I bought back in 2001. Dvd buying today=much better].
