i_paint_the_skyOkay, back from the Star Trek movie. It was okay. Nothing too spectacular but then again, it's Trek, and classic Trek at that. Always good entertainment value, often not much more.
Overall, I think the characters were done very well, visuals were awesome (not that that says much in these days of special effect wonder), but the story...fell a bit flat for me.
I just sort of wish they hadn't used time travel so much. And alternate dimensions. It definitely feels a bit like cheating...though I think Kirk might have approved so it ALMOST works.
