Jun. 6th, 2008 08:48 amFinished the book. Love it so much! Though I think my favourite of Imriel's trilogy would be Kushiel's Justice, because that one was really awesome. Though still not quite as good as the original, Kushiel's Dart, which is the best of Phedre's. Also, hilariously, the main plot in Mercy was SO much like the Franel plot, at least in basic set-up
All and all, I thinke Phedre's trilogy is better as far as politicking goes...but Imriel's is just so wonderful because Imriel himself is so messed up. And, as always, I am a total sucker for forbidden love.
So, I finally got myself back to painting in the bathroom. One wall is done. I think I may have to go over the section by the window again, just because I've had to paint it using a brush instead of a roller and so it's not as even yet. But we'll see when it dries. I am hoping to have the bathroom completed in the next two weeks or something, though it depends on whether I can motivate myself to get in there.
I also FINALLY got passed this one chapter in Path of Radiance. So frustrating how many times I had to go over that. And I still had to sacrifice Soren, which sucks because I quite like him. LUCKILY he is a character who was only "gravely wounded" which means he'll still be around for main story stuff.
So I need to get groceries and I want to get my paycheque and deposit it and other money and some day I REALLY do need to go do the laundry. Seriously, I am out of clothes.
