Day 14 – Your favourite friendship

First, 3 good things.

1. Work went very well today, I'm feeling pretty confident that I'm making as good an impression and as valuable a contribution as I can.

2. I discovered there is a book club at work that meets tomorrow so I am finally getting around to reading The Help, since they are discussing the first 10 chapters tomorrow.

3. I made dinner tonight and it was pretty good. Brocoli soup served in homemade bread bowls, with some little shrimpies on the side.

And now, Vampire Diaries ...



This is a really hard one because this show has a lot of great friendships. Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie. Stefan and Lexi. Damon and Rose. Stefan and Caroline. Elena and Matt. Damon and Alaric. And so on.

It was the first one that I initially thought I was going to go with because the friendship of our main female characters has been pretty awesome, though rather complicated of late. However, at the last minute I decided to go with something else.



Stefan and Damon. Yes, they are brothers but I think they are at their best when they are also friends as well. This is probably the most complicated relationship on the show, what with the tendency these two have to share girlfriends along with all their other issues. But they love each other and, when push comes to shove, they are there for each other. And yeah, I would consider them friends.

At very least, this is my favourite non-shippy relationship on the show and since there isn't a category for family relationship (though with this show, there probably should be), the Salvatores get this slot, even if it isn't perhaps a perfect fit.
