So, it currently feels like -37 Celsius outside (that's about -35 for you Farenheit people). Pretty sure it's time to consider hibernation as a coping strategy.

Except I'd still probably have to take the dog out twice a day. Good thing he's a low energy dog and is old enough to be able to deal with that.

Not much else going on these days. I did finally get my netbook/tablet/robot-in-disguise (aka the ASUS Transformer-100) back from being repaired, which is very exciting. Now I can work on writing without having to come into the office, which also happened to be the coldest part of my apartment :(

Only other news is that I did eventually realize that TellTale had released the first episode for their Game of Thrones game - it got a bit lost in the shuffle of Dragon Age, Dragon Age, DRAGON AGE. I really enjoyed playing it and I like the new approach of playing as multiple characters, since it reflects the books/show quite well. I'm trying to get Kayla to play it too, so I have someone to talk to about it (unless someone out here has done so?).

I still have no Internet at my apartment because Rogers' tech guy is made of fail. And I am too, though not as much, since I forgot my cell today which means I can't get in touch with anyone at Rogers until tomorrow -_-

On the plus side, my re-watch of Avatar: The Last Airbender has been moving quite fast.

Also, I'm going to Montreal next Saturday because Montreal Comic Con is having a BSG reunion! Three more signatures for my cast pic in one go!

Brought the netbook into Future Shop. Of course it decided to die on me two months AFTER the warranty ended -_-

They have to run a diagnostic because apparently this error message is really general and doesn't tell them much. So I'm down a netbook for the next 3 days or so at least. Really hoping they can fix it without having any files lost, though at least there is only one on there that would really be affected.

Sigh. I guess really it's not too bad, since this is the first problem I have ever had with the netbook in the two years I've had it. I haven't even had battery or screen issues!

In better news, I will have work at Mom's office tomorrow and Thursday, so there is some more money coming in that I dearly need, especially after this fun.

Okay, well, people who saw my little meltdown yesterday on Twitter already know this but I arrived home from Laura's baby shower to discover that my netbook had spontaneously decided to completely breakdown on me. No idea what happened or why since it was working just fine the night before.

I've got the following error: windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt \windows\system32\config\system

I tried to google it for a fix but everything I find says I need to have the Windows XP disc to fix the registry. I do not have an XP disc, nor does my netbook have a disc drive. So since I have the day off today I think I will bring it into Future Shop. Sadly I'm pretty sure the warranty we got on it is up, though I'll have to doublecheck. Either way, hopefully they can get it up and going again and I can continue work on the Himitsu fic that got sadly trapped on it and couldn't be really worked on or even partially posted last night :(

I don't quite know how this week is going to shape out. I'm only working at the store on Friday and Saturday, Jean's place on Wednesday as usual (as well as another dentist appointment in the morning -_-), but I might go in with Mom tomorrow and Thursday, if there is work to be had. Or not. I wouldn't mind time at home to do some work on my writing. We'll see.
