May. 16th, 2010 11:50 pmSo, I've started watching season four of The Tudors. Only one episode in so far but I'm remembering all the reasons I love this show.
I've also discovered that I am so much more sympathetic to Katherine Howard than I used to be. I think I have The Boleyn Inheritance to blame for that because it really brought her to life for me. Of course, I'm watching Tamzin Merchant extra close because she's playing Dany in the Song of Ice and Fire adaptation...so far I think she's doing a very good job in the portrayal though really, all she has to do is take her clothes off for a lot of it.
I'm extra excited for the end of this season though because of the dream sequence that is going on. I've seen some of the pictures of Anne Boleyn with Elizabeth and it's just...really tragic, actually. And amazing too, because 400 years later these two women are still two of the most fascinating people in history, IMO. I just find it sad that they never really knew each other.
Great series. I will be interesting to see them finally have to make John Rhys Meyers look fat and unattractive (which they really should have done before this point but my eyes are not complaining). And the dream sequence (which features all 6 wives, though two of them were still alive when Henry died) will be awesome.
