Day 17 – Your favourite actor

Hmm. This one is hard for me because the first response I have is to go OMG YAY Ian Somerhalder or Joseph Morgan. However, I feel like a lot of that has to do with the fact that they are playing my favourite male characters.

So I'm going to take a different bent and try and figure out which actor I appreciate the most WITHOUT it being tied to favourite character bias. Not sure how well it will succeed (and I have even less of an idea for tomorrow) but I'm going to try.



And the winner is ... (in case the icon didn't tip you off to this fact already) Paul Wesley.

The reason I am going to go with him is because he has been so enthusiastic about playing the many sides of Stefan. I love the story of him going to Julie Plec at the end of season two and saying that he wanted to play darker Stefan more, only to have her smile and nod because that was exactly what the writers were already planning to do.

The other thing that I really, really appreciate is the fact that Paul is willing to cry on-screen. And not the manly, single glistening teer. Stefan is a weeper. And that is awesome.



Though, for the record, I do think that Joseph Morgan is the best actor on the show. But Paul has just had a greater range of things to deal with, due to him having played a main character for four seasons now.
