i_paint_the_skyGoodness, I had forgotten what it was like to be writing a popular pairing in a super active fandom (the biggest video game fandoms on AO3, in fact). Bared, Body & Soul has 52 kudos right now, which means it's passed The Mistress and has almost caught up to Between the Sun and the Moon (featuring another popular ship from an active fandom).
I guess people really like their smut!

Gotta go with Varric here. This might be why I don't mind him not being a romance option, because he's just so damn fun as a friend. I actually expect to be even better friends with him the second round of DA3 and every Hawke has to love Varric, it's just in their DNA.
However, I want to take a moment for a shout-out to my favourite bromance, which does not involve Varric. It's Maric & Loghain because just ... OMG. There is a reason that The Stolen Throne is still my favourite of the DA books, even though it was David Gaider's first and it shows. But the strength of the characters, particularly these two but also Rowan and Katriel, is just amazing.
The bromance also has some awesome scenes in The Calling, which are equally great. And it really sheds light on Loghain's continued obsession with Maric in the games - I would suggest a drinking game everytime Maric gets mentioned but I feel like you may end up on the floor pretty fast!
