Day 26 – Something you wish happened but didn’t

I've finally gotten back into Meetup (a website where you can make a group and plan meetings and stuff) and it is looking to be very fun. Ottawa Geek Social Club has their weekly game nights on Monday and I got to play some new games I'd never heard of. Most fun was Shadow Hunters, which is in a way like a simplier version of the BSG boardgame, with characters on different sides but you don't know who is who. I don't know if I'll make it every week but I will try to get out there more often than not, at very least.

I also joined a writing group though they don't have a good meetup time for me planned as of yet.



The first one that pops into my head is having Elena, Stefan, and Damon find a way to make an OT3 work but since I'm sure that was never within the realm of possibilities, I'm not going to choose it.

It's hard to pick something though. Probably because the show isn't over and so there isn't much I can categorically say won't happen. And there are some other things that get redeemed later, like I was getting frustrated with Caroline and Klaus getting stuck in a standstill and then the last scene happened and I forgave the show pretty much everything because that moment was so perfect.

Okay. Here is something. As fascinating an idea as Katherine being human again is ... I still would have liked to see Rebekah get the cure. Because she's been a vampire for significantly longer and because for me she's the more compelling character. Plus she needs a story of her own, rather than just reacting to Klaus.

That said, I think we could get some amazing stuff out of what did happen. But it came at the expense of other potentially fascinating stuff so yeah ... that's the best I've got, the show hasn't taken too many wrong steps IMO.
