i_paint_the_skyI am not doing NaNo this year, because the last thing I need is another writing project*. However, in the NaNo spirit, I have decided to challenge myself to write 30,000 words this month (so 1,000 a day). It will be a combination of all the various projects I have going and hopefully will help me get back into the swing of things when it comes to writing, since I haven't done a lot of it for many months now.
I'm a bit behind already, of course, but still, a start is a start!
* Unfortunately, the majority of these words were, in fact, part of a new project I have ended up being unable to resist :/
This one is a bit slower than my usual tastes but it works pretty well, even when it does one of my not so favourite things when clips are taken completely out of context (sorry Klaus, Caroline was totally not mourning your death because of you). But still quite good. And I've always been a fan of showcasing actual lines from the show (as you'll see with other vids on this list).
Damon/Elena one, yay for variety. This one doesn't have the greatest video quality but it's well put together and uses my favourite scene to great effect. And again, we have lines used, perhaps even better in this vid than in the last.
So ... I really like videos that use quotes. This one has some of Caroline's best from the first two seasons (see, I like her even when Klaus isn't around!). Plus I like the effects used too and it's just a whole lot of fun.
More quotes, wheee! The Original family is pretty awesome, a shame most of them are now dead, though there are always flashbacks! Plus, their own show has been going quite well and so I expect great things from them in the future.
Some lines in this one, though not many. It is the perfect song for Rebekah.
And, as with the fics, we'll end with my personal favourite. It might not be as high quality as the others but it's the one I find myself seeking out often enough that Youtube remembers my search terms. Also, hurrah for celebrating female characters, which this show is very good at (even if Sage is in there too).
